5 Trendy Ways to style your Converse

If you couldn't tell already I am obsessed with my platform chucks. I have to be honest I never used to wear Converse shoes because I felt like my feet just looked like clown shoes when I wore them. I don’t know if you've ever felt that way about a trend; it's like you love the way it looks but doesn't think it looks good on you.  But then you keep seeing it on everyone and love it and somehow it feels like the universe is quietly telling you that you need to just get over yourself and try it. Well, years back I bought my first pair of Converse shoes and I have never looked back. Then recently, a few months back I had been seeing the platform sneaker trend and when I saw the converse chucks I just went for it and honestly I can’t imagine why I waited for so long! They are so versatile and if you don’t believe me just take a look at my feed!

Here I styled them with my favorite black Lululemon leggings as well as my staple denim jacket from Old Navy.

I wore them with this black dress from ViciDolls and one of my favorite mom gear hat from tolittlearrows.

I also wear them endlessly with my awesome Just USA denim shorts and a simple t-shirt you have; honestly, any style top will do.

I also enjoyed pairing them with distressed denim when taking a ride on my niece's slide during the weekend.

Lastly, I even loved pairing them with this Blank NYC suede skirt in the middle of April; I mean talk about breaking the rules. LOL.

I think what I am saying besides I love these shoes and if you haven’t tried them you should is that at the end of the day my mom was right. She used to tell me “Amanda, fashion is like music, you can enjoy a variety of types and styles and not everyone might like the same as you but that doesn’t mean it isn’t just as beautiful or sounds just as good”. So go find new things, wear what you love, and take a chance on a fun new trend you’re dying to try. You only live once, right?

Cheers,

Amanda
